Abstract Auto

This series of images was taken in 'down east' Maine in the summer of 2005. Using harsh, mid-day light, reflections off highly polished steel and chrome take on a life of their own. What started as an appreciation for the sweep of a fender turned into a statement of movement, of lines and contrast. This a place where a close slice of reality becomes abstract in the eye of the viewer. Cars are forgotten; only light remains.
